2022: What happens at  Rosewood Camp...

On Friday from 4pm everyone arrives and sets up their campsite or bunk bed. You can camp with your car, and a caravan or tent, or in the car-free camping  area. At the Welcome Tent you will get a Map, Workshop Program, any pre-purchased meal tickets, and directions to the camping areas or bunks. All workshops are included in your ticket.

Some people make their own meals and others order meals online. Our caterers sell lunch and dinner on Saturday and Sunday but you must pre-order. You need to self-cater for breakfast. If you’re camping it’s best to bring your own camp kitchen equipment. There is a limited camp kitchen available at the bunkhouse. No generators allowed. The coffee cart sells coffee, tea, and snacks on Saturday Sunday, from 8am to 4pm, and on Monday from 8am to 12 noon. You can buy pizza and soup (pay as you go) on Friday night.

The concert on Friday night will give you more information about the weekend. The tutors will talk about their workshops and play some of the music they will teach you!

Workshops happen all day Saturday and Sunday. They are for all levels of musician, from beginner to experienced. You will need to bring your instruments, but we do have a few ukuleles and tin whistles for sale. There are always options for beginners and plenty of opportunities to sing.

On Saturday night there is a dance, starting with an hour of songs and dances suitable for toddlers and kids. On Sunday night there is a concert by workshop participants, led by the tutors. Performing in the concert is voluntary and anyone can sign up to perform. Expect late nights!

There will also be a Welcome to Country, yoga, wildflower walks, canoeing for kids, and lots of fun music practice. It is a very family friendly, inclusive camp for people who love to make music!

On Monday morning everyone packs up and heads home.

There is no mobile coverage, so expect to have a weekend away from socials and the rest of the world :)
