Tickets for the 2019 Rosewood Music camp are now on sale!
This year's Rosewood Music Camp continues to deliver a quality wide-ranging programme of music-related activities. A major theme this year is the music and dance of our neighbouring country Timor Leste (East Timor). Song and dance will be led by Paulo Almeida, Gil Santos, Zeca Mesquita and Elsa Pinto, who are all East Timorese with Melbourne connections. Kavisha Mazella will join us for the first time to lead some singing, linking with her previous East Timorese projects. Wodonga's Jody Moran brings his Irish heritage to the camp, and there's a welcome return from one of our first ukulele tutors, Lucy Wise. Bowed strings are led by Rosie Luby and Ewen Baker, both well loved as tutors at the annual Lake School of Koroit. Throw in art, youth band, resilience workshops, wildflower walks, kids singing, yoga, our big ensemble and some outdoor activities, and there's something for everyone.. What's new this year? We've switched our online ticketing from Eventbrite to Trybooking, an Australian company. Instead of purchasing bunkhouse upgrades in addition to your camp registration, you'll select from either camping or bunkhouse sections. The pricing for both kinds of ticket is all-inclusive and you can purchase a combination of both if your party will be staying in both kinds of accommodation. Early bird pricing to August 11th Maximum ticket prices are shown, however if you book your tickets prior to the 11th of August, your tickets will be discounted by $20-$5 depending on the kind of ticket - so get in early for best prices! New caterer We are very excited to announce that Carolina from Malmsbury Kitchen Garden will be providing the onsite catering this year. Meals will be available for pre purchase from our website within the next 2 weeks and are only available via pre-order - you will not be able to purchase them at camp. There will also be pay as you go cafe options at camp. We strongly recommend that people staying in bunkhouse accommodation dine with Malmsbury Kitchen as self-catering facilities are very limited. It got REALLY cold at night last year! Campers in 2018 got a taste of just how cold the nights can be at Charnwood, so we really want to highlight the importance of bringing bedding and clothing that you can layer on and off as needed. Several thinner layers instead of one thick one, and a good beanie and scarf, can make the difference between a happy camper and a shivering one! Keep in touch and help us to spread the word We'll be sending messages via the blog and email list, and posts to our Facebook Page and Group. The group is a great place to connect with other campers and arrange transport etc. If you aren't already aware of our social channels, they are: Facebook Page: https://www.facebook.com/rosewoodmusiccamp/ Facebook Group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/rgmcinc/ Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/rosewoodmusiccamp/ Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCIy_raRbFIiHZjqloKxIc6Q Twitter: twitter.com/rgmcinc Follows, likes, reviews are all appreciated and help to spread the word about our fabulous camp! Book your tickets So now it's time to take action and book your spot! Looking forward to seeing you all in September, Warm Regards, The Rosewood Planning Team
